Weapons (2025) Visual Development
For Weapons I lead a team of asset artists on the overall look and build of the bulging eye effect.
This page showcases various concepts and designs I put together at the start of the project, to pitch to the director.
Initially inspired by images of people with graves disease, various iterations were created experimenting with asymmetry, different pupil and iris sizes, along with how far the eyes bulged out of the head.
Entire CG heads were created, as this would allow entire eye regions to be composited over the actors.
Responsibilities:
· Lead a team of character artists to create a number of digi double heads, that were used with the bulging eye effect
· Created a number of designs and concepts at the start of the project, pitching different ideas to the director.
· Rans tests on how/if blinking could be implemented on the effect
· Helped build a full body digidouble that was use as part of a car crash sequence.
· Added FACS and face shape sculpting to all digi doubles
· Supported rigging and animation creating additional facial blendshapes as required
